OAO KMAruda combine is based in Gubkin city of Belgorod region (Russia). It is the oldest mine of Kursk Magnetic Anomaly. The history of KMAruda, which is the first to develop Kursk Magnetic Anomaly’s reserves, begins in VI – VII centuries. Large scale iron ore extraction at this place started in 1931 when the first underground mine was constructed. It was named after famous Russian academician Gubkin. The combine took part of the Industrial Metallurgical Holding in 2006.
OAO KMAruda is an underground mine extracting ferruginous quartzite at Korobkovskoye deposit of Kursk Magnetic Anomaly which is further processed into iron concentrate. The major facilities of the combine are Gubkin mine and a concentration plant.
