Inert dust plant was put into operation in 1968 in the town of Gurievsk, Kemerovo region. In September 1996 it was registered as Private Joint Stock Company Inertnik. In 2000 the plant merged with АО Koks , which is its main shareholder. Its main kind of activities is the inert dust production, which is designated for the prevention and localization of coal dust explosions in mines by means of organization of fissile protection: installation of safety screens and fissile zones in workings. Nowadays it is a stable developing enterprise. Main consumers are coal enterprises, which share is 70 % of the dust consumption. For the very long time Inertnik has been working with such coal giants as Kuzbassugol, Kuznetskugol, Prokopievskugol etc. Besides that the enterprise regularly supplies batches of inert dust to mines of Yakutia and Chukotka. Inert workers have got good and stable relationship with Altay and Krasnoyarsk road builders, with roofers, as well as with road building departments of many Kuzbass cities.
