The history of Kemerovo-based coke-chemical plant spans more than 100 years. It was one of the first Kuzbass enterprises to benefit from the economic reforms undertaken in 1990s, and in 1992 it was reorganized into Koks, OAO (a joint stock company). The production capacity of the enterprise is 2 100 tons of coke annually. The enterprise houses coal preparation plant, coke plant, and two by-product recovery plants.
