Born in 1964 in Maikop. Served in the Soviet Army from 1982 to 1984. In 1990, graduated from Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman. In 1997, he completed a second degree in Banking at the Financial Academy under the RF Government. From 1991 to 2001, he held various positions in the financial and banking sphere.
He began work at Industrial Metallurgical Holding Management Company in October 2001 as a director of investment at OAO Tulachermet. In 2003, he was transferred to the position of Executive Director of OOO Industrial Metallurgical Holding Management Company.
