1Q 2017 key indicators compared with 4Q 2016:

In 1Q 2017 coking coal production by Coal division totaled 542 kt, that is 28% less compared to 4Q 2016. The reduced production accounts for the planned equipment reinstallation at the „Butovskaya“ mine and the short calendar period of the first quarter.

Coal concentrate production at Berezovskaya washing plant reduced by 6% compared to the preceding quarter and totaled 644 kt due to the production decline by Coal division and new equipment tuning for mono-grade coal processing from Butovskaya mine. This decline was partially offset by coal concentrate production from third party coals.

Koks produced 668 kt of 6 % moisture content coke, that is 5% less compared to the 4Q 2016 due to the higher quality of the coke produced.

Iron ore production at Kombinat KMAruda in 2017 first quarter totaled to 1,3 mt, that is 33 kt less compared to the 4Q 2016.

Iron ore concentrate production during the reporting period reduced by 5% and totaled to 561 kt due to the fructuations in the chemical structure of iron ore from Gubkina mine and the iron content increase in the concentrate produced.

Pig iron production at Tulachermet increased by 9% compared to the 4Q and totaled to 573 kt. The increase was achieved due to more efficient blast furnaces operations along with higher quality of IMH’s own coke and iron ore concentrate use.
