IMH hosts the International Steelmakers Congress
On October 16th the XV anniversary International Congress of steelmakers and metal producers ISCON-2018 is opened in Tula. It is organized by Industrial Metallurgical Holding (IMH) and the Interregional Public Organization “Association of Steelmakers”.
This year, the program of event is dedicated to 100th anniversary of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS and 380th anniversary of Russian metallurgy.
On the first day of Congress, Dmitry Lomovtsev, Minister of Industry and Fuel-Energy Complex of the Tula Region and Director of Industrial Policy Department, Konstantin Pityul, IMH Vice President for perspective technical development and Konstantin Kosyrev, Chairman of the Association of Steelmakers, made their introduction speeches.
Managers and specialists of steelmaking companies, research institutes and development organizations, universities, as well as PG students and students participate in the Congress. The event will be attended by more than 350 specialists from Russia and foreign countries. Also, participants will get acquainted with production technologies at Tulachermet PJSC, POLEMA JSC and the casting and rolling complex Tula-Steel (not included in IMH).
The International Steelmakers’ Congress will continue till October 19. Within the framework of this event, six sections will be held: Steel production and special electrometallurgy, Iron and steel ladle processing, Steel crystallization and casting processes, Energy efficiency, resource saving and ecology of metallurgical production, Powder and granular metallurgy; additive technologies, Quality control and standardization in ferrous metallurgy.

According to today's reports, our industry continues to improve its competitiveness - the efficiency of steelmaking units is increasing, new technologies are being introduced. For IMH, this issue is the most relevant due to the launch of our partner casting and rolling complex Tula-Steel, which will consume pig iron of our enterprise Tulachermet and produce high-quality steel for machine building, metal ware industry, as well as construction sector" - noted Sergey Frolov, IMH Vice President for Strategy and Communications.
